Orangeburg National Fish Hatchery

The Orangeburg National Fish Hatchery is a great place to visit. Not only does it have a beautiful view of Lake Marion, but it’s also a great place to fish, boat, hike, and camp.

The hatchery is open year-round, but there are special events held throughout the summer that make it a fun place to visit with your family. One of their most popular events takes place every spring when they release thousands of rainbow trout into Lake Marion.

Edisto Memorial Gardens

This beautiful garden was established in 1956 and features over 1,600 acres of land on Edisto Island. The gardens are open year-round. The park also hosts special events, including concerts, weddings, and nature programs for families.

It’s a great place to go with friends or family, especially if you just want to relax and enjoy nature. The park has many walking trails, tennis courts, and picnic areas, so it’s perfect to get outside without having to drive too far from home.

Santee State Park

Located just 30 minutes from downtown Orangeburg, Santee State Park is one of the most beautiful places in South Carolina. The park has over 2,000 acres of land filled with waterfalls and natural beauty. Fishing is one of our favorite activities when visiting Santee State Park. You can catch fish like bass, bream, and catfish during your visit. If you don’t know how to fish, don’t worry! There are guides who can teach you all about it before you hit the water.

Another great activity at this park is hiking! The park consists primarily of forested areas with streams running through them. If you’re looking for something a little more relaxing, take advantage of the park’s swimming beaches and picnic areas. You’ll also find an RV campground at Santee, where you can park your camper overnight or stay for several weeks at a time.
