This state park has quite a long name and tends to be referred to locally as Sesqui, which definitely is easier to say. This beautiful state park sits on over 1400 acres of land. There are 12 miles of trails to explore and a 30-acre lake that is perfect for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking.

Sesqui offers campsites for RVs and tents with eclectic and water access. They are a pet-friendly campground, complete with a 2-acre fenced-in dog park so your four-legged family members have plenty of space to run free.

2. Woodsmoke Family Campground

Woodsmoke offers spacious pull-through and full hook-up RV sites as well as standard tent campsites. You’ll enjoy access to hot showers and a clean indoor restroom. Amenities include on-site laundry and free WiFi access.

There’s much to do at the campground location with a fishing pond, basketball court, playground, and more. If you want to explore the nearby area, you’ll be pleased to know Woodsmoke is nearby to many local attractions.

3. Broad River Campground

If you camp frequently, you’ll know many places have lots very close together, but that is not the case at Broad River Campground! Each site is large and spaced generously away from others with access to free WiFi, laundry, and a bathhouse.

This campground is located only 20 minutes from downtown, making it perfect for any visitors to the area who want to explore everything Columbia has to offer.

4. Magnolia Campground Inc

For anyone who prefers a smaller campground, or less traffic and commotion, Magnolia Campground Inc will be perfect for your next trip. This small, family-owned location offers 12 sites with full hook-up service.

Their beautiful pond has shaded seating areas nearby and offers the perfect view to wake up to.

5. Little Cedar Creek Campground

This hidden gem has some of the best scenery around with beautiful trails and natural ponds, including a catch-and-release fishing pond.

There are a total of 52 RV sites and all lots include access to electricity, water, and sewage. As an added bonus, Little Cedar Creek also offers tent sites and 5 cabins that you can rent if you’d prefer a more luxurious stay.

6. Weston Lake Recreation Area

Weston Lake is an honorable mention on this list because it is restricted to members of the military and their guests, meaning it is not accessible to members of the general public.

However, if you or someone in your group are in any branch of the Military, Weston Lake is a beautiful location to camp with all the major amenities you’d expect in a campground.

No matter which of these locations you decide on for your next trip, you’re sure to be thrilled with your experience. While you’re in the Columbia area, be sure to stop by Superior Honda for a test drive to find the perfect vehicle for your next big trip.
